You know what I did the first game I played since the patch hit? Loaded up Yoshino with 20 km torps and fired them in the general direction of the enemy at literally every opportunity I had. The people that are most affected are the people who would have held fire when there's an opportunity, but an ally could be hit be the torpedoes if that launch opportunity is taken, because the ally/team is no longer in any danger from the launch anymore. The people that are most affected are unlikely to have held fire regardless.Īnd smart players would still be careful where they launch, because they don't want their salvo to be wasted. I always chuckle a little when people say that removing friendly fire "dumbed down" the game. Randoms I guess, considering I know you guys are planning to release the dutch line and I can see people landing those air strikes on friendlies by accident and that would suck too.īut I don't see this as a good idea in CB or Ranked play, this trivializes teammate positioning and now makes it possible to make risky plays you couldn't make before with teammates in the way and I'm more than certain we will see clans take advantage of this. I get this for COOP, those bots don't think twice about torping you on the same team. ![]() You don't think this won't have an effect on competitive play where you can now take risky shots ( up to 40 of them ) with no repercussions? With this new system, your team doesn't get punished with losing HP, the offender can lose all income from a battle. ![]() How does removing ALL income from a battle dumbing down the game? Right now, you can TK, still get XP and credits etc from a battle, be even in a pink status or locked to coop and go out and still repeat the same offense. The point of this is so that your team isn't handicapped by having HP removed due to careless team mates.
